Grandma and Grandpa Are Home!

YAY!!!!
Grandma and Grandpa are home from New Zealand! Dad, Matt, Faith, and I went over to their house yesterday. They gave us a presentation on what New Zealand was like.
There was a very cool sculpture of an anchor. The New Zealand anchors are called pung
(poong-a) and they are just a stone with a hole connecting it to the string on which it dangles.
There were some awesome pictures of birds that live there. There was the Tui, which makes a beautiful sound that Grandma says they heard almost every morning. That was my favorite. It was really cool. There are two little puffballs that poof out under their necks. The poofs are white, while the rest of the Tui's feathers are bluish-black.
They had a cute little stuffy of a kiwi (a flightless bird that lives in NZ). They gave us an abalone shell sculpture of a kiwi, too. They also gave us a beautiful bookmark. Mine has a map of New Zealand on it.

Thanks, Grandparents, and we are all so glad that you are back!
